Charlottetown, PE – Tomorrow night, Wednesday, October 10th from 7-9pm at the Guild (111 Queen St), Charlottetown MP Sean Casey will be hosting his second public town hall on water concerns in Charlottetown.
Ramona Doyle, Water Conservation Program Coordinator for the City of Charlottetown will be presenting on water conservation efforts and the search for new sources of water. Don Mazer, with the Winter River Watershed Group will be on hand to provide an overview of the impact water use is having on the Winter River and the surrounding watershed. Meghan Harris, Watershed Coordinator for the West River Watershed will also be speaking to the health of rivers in Prince Edward Island and the effect of nitrates.
“I am expecting an excellent discussion about the problems we face on water but also what can and should be done,” stated Sean Casey, Charlottetown MP. “It’s an issue I feel strongly about and one that I will continue to focus on. It is the essence of life and the pressures on our water are growing each year.”
“I am hearing that people are more aware of the realities facing our water sources and are looking for action to take both personally and collectively,” commented Casey.
