MP Sean Casey Charlottetown hosts another Town Hall on Water
Charlottetown, PE – On October 11th from 7-9pm at the Guild (111 Queen St) Charlottetown MP Sean Casey will be hosting a second public town hall on water concerns in Charlottetown.
Ramona Doyle, Water Conservation Program Coordinator for the City of Charlottetown will be presenting on water conservation efforts and the search for new sources of water. Don Mazer will be on hand to provide an overview of the impact water use is having on the Winter River and the surrounding watershed. To follow up on his presentation last year, Todd Dupuis will also be talking about the health of rivers in Prince Edward Island and nitrates.
“Last fall, I hosted my first town hall on water and it was a great turn out with excellent presenters. I promised to host another one a year later to bring everyone back together and assess the current situation as part of my follow up ” stated Sean Casey, Charlottetown MP.
“It is true that we have had some progress with respect to wastewater treatment and sewer separation, which helped for example, our oyster fishers, the conservation and source of water has hit a new level of urgency,” stated Casey.
“I continue to hear from constituents about their concerns on water and I am happy to provide a space for everyone to come together and discuss solutions,” commented Casey.
