Sean Casey is the Liberal candidate and current Member of Parliament for Charlottetown. Sean is a lawyer by trade, having dedicated fifteen years of his life to working as a Partner with Stewart McKelvey before entering federal politics in 2011. In 2008, he became Managing Partner of Stewart McKelvey and was appointed as Queen’s Counsel that same year.
In addition to his extensive work as a lawyer, Sean has been an active member of his community for many years. He has dedicated himself to supporting economic initiatives both in Charlottetown and abroad, serving as President of the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce and as Chair of First Angel Network, an organization dedicated to helping emerging Atlantic businesses and entrepreneurs get off the ground.
An avid sports fan, Sean has been actively involved as a volunteer with a number of local youth sports organizations, including the Charlottetown Minor Hockey Organization and the Canadian Soccer Association, where he served as Chair of the National Appeals Committee.
Sean was elected to the House of Commons in 2011 and now serves as the Liberal Critic for Justice. He is married to Kathleen Casey, an MLA in Prince Edward Island.
